Scholarships for Diversity Program:
Dyslexia impacts children from all races and socioeconomic backgrounds. Because the best help for students with dyslexia is currently in the private sector, families with limited incomes cannot afford to provide their children with this specialized education. To help these underserved children, the school’s administration and Board of Directors are committed to our Scholarships for Diversity Project, first launched during 2001.
The Scholarship Committee will consider a student for a diversity scholarship based on the following criteria:
• Student is ethnically diverse - Identified as Hispanic, African-American, Pacific Islander, Asian, or American Indian or Alaska Native or other Middle Eastern.
• Student is a fluent English speaker although English may be second language
• Student is entering/in grade Prek, first, second, third, fourth, fifth or sixth
